PSHE & RSE 2024 - 2025

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”

At Boundary Primary School PSHE is at the heart of everything we do! We deliver a personalised curriculum, which is accessible to all, maximising the outcomes for every child in our care.  As a result of this all children at our school become happy, healthy, resilient, tolerant, and respectful independent citizens who understand how they are developing personally and socially.  We provide children with the confidence to tackle many moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up.  We give all children the opportunity for them to learn about rights and responsibilities and appreciate what it means to be a member of a diverse society.

Skills for Life

At Boundary our ‘Skills for Life’ curriculum focuses on the skills needed to deal with the complex problems in the children’s lives. We directly teach the children the life and behaviour for learning skills and place them with real life situations where they can practise and rehearse techniques. This is executed through assemblies, PSHE lessons and regular adult modelling and explanations. Skills for Life aims to create a culture in classrooms and in the school more widely that systematically cultivates habits and attitudes that enable our children to become better learners; face difficulty and uncertainty calmly, confidently and creatively.

As a school we use resources from ‘The Christopher Winter Project’ to support the teaching of Relationships and Sex Education throughout the school. These resources have been commended by the PSHE Association and fully support the Science National Curriculum.
