Practicing our Harvest assembly songs
Date: 17th Sep 2021 @ 2:13pm
Assemblies are an important part of our school life. It is where we come together as a school community, to celebrate, to think, to share and to reflect on ourselves living in a global society. It is a special time to develop a wider respect across the whole school membership, to mark special occasions and to develop those important behaviours that are needed in society when large numbers are gathered together.
So on Thursday it was our singing assmebly, we practised singing our Harvest songs; Autumn Days, Cauliflowers Fluffy and Harvest Samba...we have included the videos here so that you can practise them at home too!

Along with the rest of Boundary this week we have taken part in and enjoyed sports week!
We had two brilliant afternoons filled with balloon races, speed bounce, hurdles and egg and spoon races.
We all had lots of fun, showing lots of our Boundary characeristics throughout the week and supporting our friends and team mates.
We enjoyed all these activities in the lovely sunshine and contributed to our Road to Tokyo goals with each physical activity we completed.
Date: 1st Jul 2021 @ 2:03pm
It was the last of our activities! Who will win? Your guess is as good as ours! We took part in more team games: over and under, side to side, elbow passing and speed bouncing. There wasn't a particular team who won all of the games so this means it must be tight between the winners! We can't wait to find out which team takes the Number 1 spot! Fingers crossed it's your team...

We then used the words we had translated to translate long sentences related to WWII. We will build on our understanding of new vocabulary over the next 5 sessions.

This year our school council meetings have been quite different to previous years due to Covid 19. We now meet virtually using 'Googlemeet' and this appears to be working really well.
The School Council have decided on which charities they want to support and have been busy coming up with ideas as to how to raise money.
Local Charities- Brian House and Donna's dream House.
National Charities- Children in Need and Comic Relief.
International Charity- Water Aid.
Money has already been raised for Children in Need and Comic Relief and, as you can see from the photos on the blog, everyone had fun participating in these events!
The School councillors have now been given the task to generate ideas of how we can continue to support our local charities, Brian House and Donna's Dream House in the final half term of the year. Watch this space!

Fabulous Food - Tortilla Pin Wheels
Date: 28th Apr 2021 @ 4:12pm

First we looked at lots of different images and designs to find out what the pinwheels needed to be like - their shape, colour and ingredients. Then we taste tested the ingredients to find out which we liked and disliked. We designed our pinwheels and thought about how we need a variety of foods to be healthy from a range of food groups. Then we carefully and hygienically prepared the ingredients in the kitchen before we constructed our pinwheels. Finally we evaluated them to see if they were tasty and if we had been successful!

His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Date: 14th Apr 2021 @ 8:49pm
The children of Boundary Primary School, send our condolences to HM The Queen and the Royal Family.
The Duke of Edinburgh was a remarkable man who, throughout his life, upheld the British Values that now weave through our school curriculum and help us to become responsible and respectful citizens who contribute positively to society. His public service, patronage and charitable work reflect the value of Democracy. A consort to HM The Queen, a successful career in the Royal Navy, commitment to every branch of service life, sporting achievements and his Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme all highlight the Rule of Law. His childhood taught him the values of self reliance, an aspect of Individual Liberty, whilst his commitment to the Commonwealth clearly demonstrated Mutual Respect and Tolerance of other Faiths and Beliefs.
It is through these values we will remember him as we prepare for life in modern Britain.
