We have had such a busy and fun half term! It has been a pleasure getting to know all of our new starters and we have done so much exploring and investigating. We finished off this half term talking about similarities and differences for Black History month and the children were able to talk about how they were similar to their friends. We have also been practising our cutting skills, developing our fine motor skills by pegging numbers on to a washing line and talking part in collaborative play with activities in the tuff tray.

Year 2 have been learning all about money this week. Firstly we explored lots of different ways that we use and need money and how it is earned. The tables were cleared of all pens and pencils and we had a full day of lessons without any books. Our no pen day saw us working collaboratively and developing our communication skills. We held debates, discussed resilience and learned how to say the date in French. Our maths lesson involved working together to solve multiplication problems using counters and number cards and completing various puzzles.
