Partitioning
Date: 11th Jun 2021 @ 8:40pm
This week in Maths we have explored partitioning numbers. We built lots of different numbers using Base 10 and completed sentences together to show the tens and ones, e.g. 49 = 4 tens and 9 ones. Once we understood the concept of tens and ones we worked to represent each number on a part part whole model. We then extended our learning to show these numbers in different representations, using Numicon, number lines, bar models and hundred squares. We worked hard to understand the value of each number in a 2 digit number and that ten ones are equal to one ten.
