Metaphor Poems

We're not going to let a little thing like a national lockdown get in the way of our learning!! In Reading into Writing, we have been looking at figurative language, with a focus on metaphors and personification. We have practised how to turn similes to metaphors and how to bring non-human things things to life using human action verbs. We then watched a video that showed a very angry sea and began writing metaphors to describe the sea. There were some excellent metaphors written!! For our end of unit piece of writing, we wrote a metaphor poem about an angry sea. Here are just three examples.
