As part of our current journey in reading into writing we have been exploring lots of different types of instructions.
This has included us verbally sequencing different sets of instructions, before writing them down. We have also pieced together mixed up instructions and improved them by adding missing features. Whilst talking through our instructions we have continued to use time connectives and imperative verbs to tell people what to do and when.
One of the sets of instructions we have verbally sequenced were how to make a jam sandwich. We gave Miss Kay instructions and found out what happens when our instructions aren't specific! We will be writing our own instructions next week.
