Wednesday 20th May

Here is today’s Learning at Home. Remember, to try your best! We believe in you! #BoundaryBelieves

Use the link below to listen to the story ‘The Bog Baby’

Talk to an adult about what happened in the story.  Where did the children find the Bog Baby? What did he look like?  What did they make his home out of?  Wh y do you think the Bog Baby was sick?  Draw  picture of your very own Bog Baby.  Can you label him?  Write a couple of sentences about the Bog Baby to describe what he looks like e.g. He had tiny wings and big eyes.  Don’t forget to use capital letters, full stops and fingers spaces.

Now it’s time to get creative!  Can you make your very own Big Baby using the things you have in your house.  You could use recycled materials or play dough.  Don’t forget his tiny ears, spikey tail and delicate wings. Send us some pictures of your Bog Baby when you have finished.  Maybe you could put him in a jam jar to keep him safe.

In maths today we are going to be thinking about 2D shapes and patterns.  Follow the link to complete the repeated patterns https://www.topmarks.co.uk/ordering-and-sequencing/shape-patterns  What shapes were used in the patterns?  Can you describe their properties? e.g. A square has 4 sides all the same length.  It have 4 corners.  Maybe you could make your own repeated patterns using different shapes and draw them in your home learning book.
