Tuesday 21st April – Home Learning – Platform 1

Reading into Writing

To start our topic on Life Cycles, this week in our English we’re going to look at the fantastic book The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. I’ve posted the video of the author reading the story for you to watch below.

I’ve uploaded a comprehension at the bottom of this page, and to your SeeSaw, for you to complete. As always, if you can’t print discuss the questions with an adult or some of you were great last half-term at writing the answers on your iPad/tablet.

Maths

In maths, we’re going to continue looking at measuring. Yesterday you looked at measuring in centimetres, today is going to be metres. I’ve uploaded the questions to match the videos at the bottom of this page. As always, if you can’t print discuss the questions with an adult or some of you were great last half-term at writing the answers on your ipad/tablet. Here’s a video to watch to go with the questions.

In addition to the above, BBC have now introduced new Home Learning through the Bitesize website. Today’s lesson is geography. Here’s the link for you to have a go, there are some interesting videos to watch and fun games to play too!
