Here is today’s Learning at Home. Remember, to try your best! We believe in you! #BoundaryBelieves
Watch the sound oa– https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCJyHN0IFE8Can you find any objects with these sounds around your home?
Select the phase you are working on (Your phase 2, 3 or 5 is written in your home learning letter)
Write down some of the phonics words you have read in your busy book. Don’t forget to take a photo and upload it to seesaw so we can see your learning.
Can you write a list of toys in your house? How should a list be set out? Which is your favourite one and why? (Click below to download an example of my shopping list so you can check you know how to set list writing out).
Don’t forget to take a photograph and upload it to Seesaw. Miss James and Mrs Hopwood want to see what toys you enjoy playing with.
Count in multiples of 2, 5 and 10
Use raisins, grapes, cereal pieces etc… to help you practise counting in multiples of 2, 5 and 10.
Group into 2s to practise counting in 2s, group into 5 to practise counting in 5s and into 10 to practise counting in 10s.
Once you’ve done it with the objects, draw out circles to help you practise counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.
There are also some great get moving games on BBC Supermovers to help.
Log in to oxford owls and read one of your books. Record yourself on seesaw telling us what you did or did not like about the book and why.
Parents you can log onto Oxford Owl and create an account – it is free. Then search for E books, and choose phonics level 2, 3 or 5 depending on you child. Your child’s phonics level is also in the letter information pack you received.
Chosen afternoon activity
Choose your own activity from the list and complete it in your busy book. Feel free to send us any pictures on seesaw of your learning.
In addition to the above, we are also adding daily tasks to Seesaw which I know a lot of you are enjoying completing. We love seeing your videos, pictures and completed work – Please keep sending them to us JCompleting any work on Seesaw allows us to provide feedback on how you have done and give possible next steps. This is working really well. If you have any questions about anything at all you can contact us through our class email addresses or through Seesaw. All this information is in your home learning letter too.
