Nursery Home Learning Thursday 2nd April

Here is today’s Learning at Home. Remember, to try your best! We believe in you! #BoundaryBelieves

Good Morning everyone! We had lots of children email with pictures of their activities yesterday which was great, we really enjoy seeing how you are all getting on with your home learning. Keep sending in your pictures, and if you haven’t yet sent anything in please make today the day!

Todays activity is a Maths Scavenger Hunt! You have all been trying hard with your number cards, recognising and writing numbers, as well as matching numeral to quantity, so we are going to use that knowledge for todays task. You can use any objects for todays challenge, we will recommend some below, but if you don’t have these available at home you can use anything you do have!

Get your number cards ready to help you!

Can you find 2 pencils and 1 crayon? How many items do you have now? Can you show your adults the number of objects you have by pointing to the correct number card?

Can you find 2 pennies and 3 teddies? How many items do you have now? It’s time for the teddies to go and have a snack in the kitchen, go and sit them at the table and come back to your pennies. How many items do you have left?

Can you find 3 spoons, 2 socks, and 1 crayon? How many items do you have altogether? Can you show your adults the number of objects you have by pointing to the correct number card?

Can you find 6 grapes or crisps or raisins? Eat 3 of them! How many are left? Can you show your adults the number of objects you have by pointing to the correct number card?

Well done everyone! We’re waiting to see how you have got on, don’t forget to let us know by emailing teachernursery@boundary.blackpool.sch.uk

Remember to choose an afternoon activity from your home learning packs, and we will be back tomorrow for some Friday fun!
