Keeping Busy at Home – Week Two

Its been another busy week of learning at home for our Nursery children! This week we have been on a number hunt around our homes, keeping an eye out for any other numbers we could see whilst we were hunting for our hidden number cards. We have also been on the lookout for objects around our house starting with the ‘s’ sound. Lots of us found different objects beginning with ‘s’ including slippers, spoons, scarves and smelly socks! We then practised writing the ‘s’ sound, using the rhyme ‘slither down the snake.’ Later in the week we then made shape pictures, found different objects and matched the numeral to our number cards and watched and retold the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar.’ We even had time for some Friday yoga! Our Nursery children have then chosen different activities from their learning packs for their afternoon task, and have been practising writing their names, forming their numbers and reading stories with adults at home.
