PhonicsClick here to watch and recap the ‘ie’ sound. Can you think of any more words that have this sound in? Write them down in your busy book and ask an adult to check.

Challenge – Can you write three sentences that have ‘ie’ words in then read your sentences to me on seesaw?  Don’t forget to take a photo and upload it to seesaw.

Writing – All about animals – Your writing activity is waiting for you on seesaw, complete each activity in your busy book then take a photo on seesaw. When writing remember to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops, also think carefully about the sounds you need for each word as you spell them, saying each word out loud before you write it.

Challenge- Can you follow the video to draw a shark, write about your shark in you busy book. What is it’s name, where has it been, what does it like to eat? Click here to learn how to draw a shark.

Maths

Challenge 1 = Counting and adding – Todays first maths challenge is set on Seesaw, complete the activity buy counting the objects and completing the number sentence. You can complete it on Seesaw or in your busy book and send a photo.

Challenge 2 = Complete todays activity on our brand new  www.mymaths.co.uk website! You have been sent your own personal login via your email address (which is on your home learning letter).

Reading – Log in to Oxford Owl and read one of your books. Record yourself on seesaw telling us what you did/did not like about the book and why. Lots of new book have been added to the website recently. Which one are you going to choose?

 Parents you can log onto Oxford Owl and create an account – it is free. Then search for E books, and choose phonics level 2, 3 or 5 depending on you child. Your child’s phonics level is also in the letter information pack you received.

Chosen afternoon activity – Choose your own activity from the ‘afternoon activities table’ in your home learning letter or the new afternoon activities sheet sent via email and complete it in your busy book. Feel free to send us any pictures on seesaw of your learning. Remember you also have fun reading and maths activities set for you on edshed.

In addition to the above, we are also adding daily tasks to Seesaw which I know a lot of you are enjoying completing. We love seeing your videos, pictures and completed work – Please keep sending them to us. Completing any work on Seesaw allows us to provide feedback on how you have done and give possible next steps. This is working really well. If you have any questions about anything at all you can contact us through our class email addresses or through Seesaw. All this information is in your home learning letter too. Thank you.
