Home Learning – Thursday 7th May
Good morning Year 3!
Here is today’s home learning. Remember to try your best! We believe in you! #BoundaryBelieves
You all have log in details that are inside the front cover of your home learning book or on the letter we sent out for your My Maths log in.
Try and start your day with Joe Wicks PE workout on his YouTube channel at 9am. If you fancy something different this morning, why not try the Jump workout here. It’s super important to stay active.
- Maths – For this term, you are going to be completing your Maths learning on My Maths – your login details were sent out before we broke up. There are a range of activities that need to be completed daily, this week they will focus on fractions.
- History VE Day – Today, we are going to be learning all about VE Day, as tomorrow is the 75th anniversary. We have lots of fun activities for you to complete.Activity one – Researching VE Day. We would like you to find out what exactly is VE Day and why it so special that we are still celebrating this day 75 years later. If you can, watch Newsround, as there will be lots of information for you on there. Write down everything you have found out either in your home learning journals or on the template on SeeSaw.Activity two – Create your very own VE Day flag. Use the instructions on SeeSaw to colour in the Union Jack and then you can display this tomorrow.
Activity three – Create your own VE Day bunting. This can be put up around or outside your house in celebration of the day.
Activity Four – Bake some cupcakes. A celebration wouldn’t be a celebration without some cakes so why not follow the link and make some of your own delicious cupcakes. There is also a template on SeeSaw for you to make your own Union Jack cake topers.
And remember if you still have time, find somewhere quiet and curl up with your book. We would also like you to complete the daily activity on Spelling Shed and to use Oxford Owls to read a book of your choice!
Have a fun filled day! And have a lovely weekend!
