Wake up and shake upClick here to warm up for the day with todays chosen just dance.

Phonics – Click here to learn the ‘wh’  sound with Geraldine. Can you think of words that have the ‘wh’ sound in them and draw pictures of them?Challenge – Can you use each word in a sentence? You can either write your sentence in your book or voice record it on seesaw.

Writing –  Growing things – Click here to watch a video and learn all about an allotment with Barnaby Bear. After watching the video, explain to somebody at home what an allotment is, make sure you include lots of describing words, you can watch the video again if it helps.

Activity: Creating a magical plant – Imagine you could create a magical plant. What would it be? Try to consider the following things:

  • What would be magical about your plant?
  • Would something magical grow on it?
  • What does your magical plant look like?
  • Does the magical plant have a name?

Write five to six sentences in your busy book about your magical creation. Remember to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops in your sentences and include lots of describing words. Challenge yourself you use the words ‘and’ or ‘because’ Once you’ve finished, talk to someone in your family and explain to them what makes your plant so magical. Remember to take a photo of your writing and up load it to seesaw.

Maths  –Your maths challenge is waiting for you on MyMaths. If you are struggling to log into your MyMaths account let your teacher know on seesaw. There is a taster of todays MyMaths challenge on seesaw.

Reading  – Enjoy story time with Mr Parsons. Log onto seesaw and follow the link.

Log in to oxford owls and read one of your books. Record yourself on seesaw telling us what you did or did not like about the book and why.Parents you can log onto Oxford Owl and create an account – it is free. Then search for E books, and choose phonics level 2, 3 or 5 depending on you child. Your child’s phonics level is also in the letter information pack you received.

Chosen afternoon activity  – Choose your own activity from the list and complete it in your busy book. Feel free to send us any pictures on seesaw of your learning.

In addition to the above, we are also adding daily challenge tasks to seesaw which I know a lot of you are enjoying completing. We love seeing your videos, pictures and completed work – Please keep sending them to us Completing any work on Seesaw allows us to provide feedback on how you have done and give possible next steps.
